Watchhouse sells out two nights at the Ryman

On September 3rd and 4th, Watchhouse played two sold out shows to a a couple-thousand eager audience members, who had been waiting to see the band since the show was rescheduled in fall of 2020. The Americana Highways review called it “an incredibly special evening'‘ and that the band is “equipped with authenticity, patience, kindness, and a hope to share genuine love with those listening. The two of them and their music hold these attributes so apparently, and when that foundation is accompanied by The Ryman Auditorium… transcendence. There wasn’t a dry eye in the building.”

For the band, it was a long year and a half, but knowing that they had this record made truly saved them when the pandemic began.

The band recorded the record in their friend Alex Bingham‘s family’s lake house a few hours from their home in Chapel Hill, NC. Producers Josh Kaufman and James Goodwin became instantly inspiring. The band said, “it was a dream to create with them. We brought a million ideas and still gained an infinite amount from the musical genius and perspective of Josh Kaufman, Josh Oliver, Clint Mullican, and Joe Westerlund all brought their invaluable musical intuitions to the room in a way that felt easier, freer and more unrestricted than on any earlier albums.” Give it a listen today!
